Some of us are from Mars and some us are from Venus - right? Well, that's what some would have us believe anyway. But regardless where you're from, chances are good you will agree there are a few catagorical differences between the sexes.
For instance, I like strawberry shortcake for dinner while I watch the latest LOST episode on the tube. My wife prefers something a little more healthy as she watches Oprah in the afternoons. I like to spend a day off wetting a line in the bay. My wife prefers a day of shopping at the outlet mall. You get the picture. There are some things that simply belong to the wants and desires of men, and other things that women would prefer.
Take note girls! It's a special women's weekend out when "VISIONS, The Women's Expo" gets underway in Dallas the last week of August, showcasing just about everything you can think of that women would be interested in learning more about and sharing with other women.
VISIONS: The Women’s Expo celebrates 18 years of providing an escape from the everyday routine for women of all ages, ethnicities and interests. The two-day event features over 300 exhibitors and sponsors from around the country, spectacular guest speakers, product sampling and more. Exciting entertainment, informative seminars, unique shopping and FUN are waiting for you at VISIONS, the largest women’s expo in the Southwest.
The event, designed by women for women, will feature a number of exciting activities. An exhibitor's area will feature over 300 products and services designed specifically for women. In addition, you can catch up with the latest in fashions, styling tiops for hair, clothes, and other essential items for women. Participants will be treated to a facial, learn new cooking secrets, catch up on the latest in home design and decor, and learn about volunteerism and the opportunities it offers.
Event promoters are billing the expo as a quality time away from the routine and a chance to fellowship with other women of similar interests, with plenty of pampering and a lot of activities, events, and speakers to help women keep up with the changing environment of life in the 21st century.
It all happens at Dallas Market Sqwuare August 25-26. Tickets are just $10 per adult and advance tickets can be purchased at a discount.
