This memorial day weekend will be a special one  in Washington D.C. as many veterans  politicians, and all of the past living presidents descend upon the memorial for it's dedication. The memorial is on the National Mall grounds between the Washington and Lincoln Memorial, a well deserved prestigous and prominent location.</FONT></div> <bR> <div> After many years of political wrestling, and fundraising efforts by veterans, dedicated politicians and school children, the project came in with a $19 million dollar surplus in funds, which will be put in a trust fund. If only the rest of our government could manage such financial responsibility! A vision and a dream realized for many hardworking individuals across the nation who wished to honor the 16 million men and women who freely offered their lives in service for their country. Unfortunately by the time of dedication it is estimated as few as 4 million veterans of WWII will be alive, but we honor them in life and death.</div> <bR> <div> Big festivities are planned around the opening with over 4 days of special events, music stages, and special reunion tents set up for the veterans.
