Dining couldn't be more fun or rewarding than at the latest hot spot on South Padre Island, FishBones Pier & Grill, the newest addition to Destination RV Park on the island's south end.

In traiditionnal coastal style, FishBones is actually built on top of the sprawling FishBones Pier (formerly the SeaRanch Pier), and houses a fine Gulf Coast-style restaurant and is the headquarters of Osprey Deep Sea Fishing Adventures. Bay fishing boats also dock at the pier and have long been a favorite departure station for visiting anglers.

If fishing off one of the island's best bay piers is more to your liking, the full-facility pier offers extended hour fishing with live bait and a small but adequate tackle shop located adjacent to the restaurant.

The new addition to the Destination RV Park offering, FishBones represents the latest phase in a multi-phase improvement and expansion project planned for the island's premiere RV park in the coming months and years.

A Winter Texan favorite, the park offers the usual Five-Star ammenities, but the addition of the new restaurant and bar gives winter visitors a new choice for on-site entertainment and fun.

The menu provides a new variety of coastal favorites, and operators say an ever-evolving choice of great dishes are planned as the restaurant matures. Add to that a full service bar, and FishBones provides a great new island hang-out for visitors and locals alike.
