Local volunteers will be serving up heaping plates of eggs, refried beans, biscuit's 'n gravy, sausage, tortillas, coffee and juice.Team roping, horseshoeing, rawhide braiding, and old-time cow camp cooking demonstrations will be part of the morning's activities, along with cowboy poetry, storytelling, and musical entertainment. Fredericksburg’s Eisbahn (ice rink in German) has become a winter tradition for Fredericksburg families and thousands of visitors as well. Come enjoy outdoor ice skating on real ice in the Texas Hill Country! We use special refrigeration units to keep the ice frozen even when the weather is warm outside. So “Y’all come” and enjoy making memories at Eisbahn!

unforgettable ride aboard an old-fashioned steam train departs each Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Thanksgiving through December 24. Passengers will enjoy lighted scenes along the Cypress Bayou River as they hear about the “Christmas Traditions Around the Globe”. Also, ring in the New Year with the Rail of Lights New Year’s Train running on December 30 and 31. This ride will feature the dropping of the ball in Times Square, complete with beverages, noisemakers and a fantastic fire works show on every train ride.

Characters from Dickens novels walk the street. Food and entertainment fill the area with sights and smells that take you back to another era.
Dec. 3 - 30th Annual Harbor Lights Festival - Corpus Christi
The Harbor Lights Festival rings in the beginning of the holiday season by converting the beautiful bayfront marina area into a Fairy Tale Holiday. This fun filled event for residents and visitors of all ages is known as a "must attend" family event that begins with a Children’s parade and followed by stage entertainment and enjoyable family activities throughout the evening. The fun and festivity vineyard continues to grow each year and provides the setting for wonderful sights and variety of vendors, featuring great food and holiday items. Dec. 3 - Caroler’s Afloat & Boat Lighting Parade/ Port Aransas
Mariners are encouraged to decorate their vessel and join the parade, while those without a seaworthy vessel are encouraged to jump aboard one of the boats provided by Queensline or Fisherman’s Wharf and cruise the marina while singing Christmas carols. The Parade is set to begin Dec. 3rd at 6:45 at the Port Aransas Marina.

Winter Community Health Fair/Mission
Sponsored by the Greater Mission Chamber of Commerce and the Mission Hospital at the Mission High School's Neuhaus Gym, this health fair is open to all local citizens and winter visitors. Over sixty health care providers will be available to provide free screening for cholesterol, diabetes, glucose, glaucoma, vision, blood pressure, scoliosis, and hearing, to offer immunizations for children, to give samples, and to offer information concerning podiatry, massage, oral hygiene, and the array of services that are available in various departments of the Mission Hospital.

As many as 1500 anglers and 500 boats will converge in Port Isabel/South Padre Island, Texas to participate in the 72nd annual Texas International Fishing Tournament.Spectacular catches of blue marlin, white marlin and sailfish will generate dockside excitement when the large offshore boats come in and speckled trout, redfish and flounder will be the prizes brought in by bay anglers.
