Caroling  in the Caverns
The Eerie Echos of Christmas...
The jingles, bells, and sounds of christmas will have a special ring this year   inside Natural  Bridge Caverns, near New Braunfels.  This U.S. Naural Landmark is an amazing subterranean  maze of some of the most beautiful cave formations in the United States, with huge rooms and corridors stretching over a mile long down to underground Purgatory Creek, making the acoustics perfect for beautiful music.
This year, more voices will join for the annual underground spectacle at Natural Bridge. Area choirs will be stationed throughout various cavern rooms, making each room a unique holiday music presentation as you stroll through this remarkable underground world of soft light and beauty.
And Winter Texans will appreciate that, in the spirit of the season each year, Natural Bridge Caverns donates partial proceeds from  admission tickets to go to different area charities.

This year's charities are Hope Hospice of New Braunsfels, Habitat for Humanity of San Antionio, and the San Antionio Area Chapter of the American Red Cross. The Heidemann-Wuest Foundation will match the contribution made by Natural Bridge Caverns.

Annual performances include Central Texas, Hill Country and local performing groups, choirs and bands, including the Handbells of the First Baptist Church of New Braunfels, Brass Roots--a brass band from Floresville; and the Hill Country Chorus, which is a barbershop-style acappella group. Also many  area highschools bring their  best show choirs for performances.

Natural Bridge Caverns' 5th Annual Caroling in the Caverns will take place Friday and Saturday evenings in December (3&4,10&11 and 17 &18), with tours leaving every 15-20 minutes from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.  The tour takes 75 minutes and follows the route of the North Cavern Tour.

Admission for  Caroling in the Caverns is $20 for adults (13 years & over), $12 for children (4-12 years old) and our 60-Plus rate is $18.

Natural Bridge Caverns is just a half-hour drive north of San Antonio off I-35 and southwest of New Braunfels, Texas. Open 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. year round, they will be closed on Christmas and New Years Day.
